Job Title: Assistant Hotel Manager

Location: Fort William, Scotland

Salary: Up to £16,880.00

A fantastic opportunity has become available to join this friendly team. They are looking for either an established Assistant Manager or an ambitious Trainee Manager who is looking for the next step in their career. The hotel is situated in the beautiful town of Fort William in the heart of Scotland, surrounded by beautiful scenery, with plenty of space and lots to see and do. The hotel sits in its own grounds just a few minutes from Ben Nevis.

Main Responsibilities:

To assist the General Manager in the achievement of the overall management of the hotel, ensuring all the hotel's procedures and policies are adhered to and that the unit complies with all statutory and legal requirements.

Technical Responsibilities:

* Assist the General Manager in the achievement of the hotel's targeted profit.
* To deputise for the General Manager in his/her absence, ensuring the smooth running of the hotel.

Staff Responsibilities:

* Assist the General Manager and the Heads of Department in the recruitment of staff.
* Induct new members of staff as delegated by the General Manager and in accordance with the company policy.
* Monitor training standards and identify training needs where necessary to meet operational requirements.

General Responsibilities:

* Carry out Duty Management as required
* Liaise with Head Office departments and operations office, external contractors, statutory representatives and consultants as required.
* Carry out other duties as required by the company.

Key Requirements:

To succeed in this role you will need to be a strong leader and passionate about customer service. Engaging and developing people to deliver results should come naturally and you will be dedicated, organised and results focussed.

You should have a minimum of 12 months experience working in a hospitality environment and want to grow with the company as they are committed to developing their people with over 90% of their managers developing from within.
